Cow Appreciation Day

So how much does Chick-Fil-A think a customer’s dignity is worth? Apparently the exchange rate is one chicken sandwich combo meal. From their press release (emphasis theirs):

For the superstitious, Friday, July 13 could be an anxious day, but for the bovine-minded, it could be a lucky day. As part of its third annual Cow Appreciation Day event, Chick-fil-A® is offering a free combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who isn’t “too chicken” to visit any of the chain’s 1,300-plus restaurants fully dressed as a cow on July 13.

So if you have an extra cow suit and high embarrassment threshold, suit up and head on over today.

  1. A co-worker told me about this when she was telling me that Krispy Kreme was celebrating their 70th birthday Friday by giving away a dozen donuts to people whose birthdays are July 13 (Finn’s birthday was Friday.) It just so happens Finn wore a cow costume for Halloween two years ago, so we could have run home, squeezed him into a too-small cow costume, gone to Chik-fil-a and got free chicken and then to Krispy Kreme for free donuts. But we didn’t. We did the get free donuts though. Get this: They made me show his birth certificate!
