Getting in shape is hard. For me the hardest part is making myself stick to an exercise schedule. It’s pretty easy to hit the gym a few days a week for a while, but going consistently takes some serious effort. For the past several years, that effort has been seriously lacking with me.

But I’m not exactly getting younger here, so some things need to change. So I need to find some way to get my flabby rump in gear. And since having specific goals and deadlines help keep one focused, I’m going to attempt the 100 push up training program over at The goal of the program (shockingly enough!) is to get in good enough shape to do 100 consecutive pushups.

Now I don’t think I’ve ever been able to complete 100 push ups. I’m pretty sure that I won’t be able to in 6 weeks either. But it gives me something to shoot for.
