Blender magazine apparently asked candidates Obama and McCain what their top ten favorite songs were. Here are the results (note the boldfaced items):

Barack Obama’s 10 favorite songs:
Ready or Not — Fugees
What’s Going On — Marvin Gaye
I’m On Fire — Bruce Spingsteen
Gimme Shelter — Rolling Stones
Sinnerman — Nina Simone
Touch the Sky — Kanye West
You’d Be So Easy to Love — Frank Sinatra
Think — Aretha Franklin
City of Blinding Lights — U2
Yes We Can — will.i.am

John McCain’s 10 favorite songs:
Dancing Queen — ABBA
Blue Bayou — Roy Orbison
Take a Chance On Me — ABBA
If We MakeIt Through December — Merle Haggard
As Time Goes By — Dooley Wilson
Good Vibrations — The Beach Boys
What A Wonderful World — Louis Armstrong
I’ve Got You Under My Skin — Frank Sinatra
Sweet Caroline — Neil Diamond
Smoke Gets In Your Eyes — The Platters

That’s right! McCain has not one, but two (count ’em…two) ABBA songs on his list. That’s the kind of leadership I can support. He’s basically saying, “Yeah, I like ABBA. What’s it to you? Now get off my damn lawn!”

It almost makes up for the fact that he also has a freakin’ Beach Boys song on his list.
